Chateau Moulin a Vent
Chateau Moulin a Vent is located in the heart of
Bordeaux, in the commune of Moulis. In the recent
years, Moulis has produced some of the most exciting
wines in Bordeaux. Planted with Cabernet Sauvignon
and Merlot, the wines of Chateau Moulin a Vent can
aged beautifully for many years. We are fortunate
to present 2 of the most sought after vintage in
the Bordeaux history of wine.

Moulin a Vent 1981
1981 is often under rated vintage,
some of the wines from this vintage have been
showing excellent aging potential. On the
Nose, it has pronounced vanillin like aroma,
integrated oak characteristics, still ripe
fruit on the attack with moderate tannins,
fantastic conditions, a classical Medoc. |

Deep ruby color with mineral-laden,
spicy, red and black currant fruit. A nice
mid-palate, round tannin and supply richness.
At this age, the wine still display wonderful
fruit intensity and richness. Drink it over
the next 5-6 years. |

A vintage as legendary as 86 has
always sparked interested with wine lovers.
This is no exception; the 86 Moulin a Vent
from Moulis is still dark in colour, showing
little sign of 23 years of age. The aroma
is tobacco like with dried fruits and cedar.
At this age, the wine still display wonderful
fruit intensity and richness. Round tannin
and supply richness. Can be aged for 5 more
years.

This wine appears the saturated,
dark ruby colored. It reveals copious quantities
of sweet, ripe, black-cherry and cassis fruit.
A huge, ripe fruit bowl style of wine, with
full body and admirable structure, this wine
should drink well for 5-10 years.

Moulin a Vent 1996
It is dark ruby/purple-colored with
a spicy, rich, berry-scented nose filled with
earth, licorice, and spice notes. Full-bodied,
deep, and structured, this is a masculine,
powerful wine. It will be at its peak between
1998-2012.
