Chateau de la Clotte

The Chateau de la Clotte was built in the 18th century, in the 1990's the new owner Maryline and Philippe Pages purchased the ancient estate and breath new life into it. A brand new winery was built with gravity feeding and temperature control equipments, the Cuvee Mathierou is a blend of Syrah and Grenache, picked by hands and fermentation with whole bunches to allow maximum aroma, aged in oak for 6-10 month to give the wine a powerful yet complex nature, it will delight you with liquorice, olive and red berry, ripe tannins supporting the full bodied structure. A new star in the Languedoc region.
