Chateau
Du Seuil
From the elegant 19th century chateau a huge stretch
of tree lined lawn slopes gently down to the Garonne
River. Situated in the tiny village of Cerons in
the Graves appellation, the Chateau has a century
long tradition of producing fine wines.
The estate of Chateau du Seuil encompasses a total
of 25 hectares of vines of which approximately 65
percent are planted in red varieties of Merlot and
Cabernet Sauvignon and 35 percent in the white varieties
of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. There are 15 hectares
in the Graves appellation and 10 hectares in the
Premi¨¨res Cotes de Bordeaux appellation. Average
vine age across the whole estate is approximately
30 years.
Owners Nicola and Sean Allison combine the best
of traditional and sustainable winemaking methods
with modern technologies and are personally involved
in every aspect of the vineyard management and winemaking
process. The excellent quality and finesse of their
wines is testament to their efforts. Not only are
the wines elegant, well-crafted and charming, but
they have an approachability and a mouth-watering
fruity freshness that makes them stand out from
the pack.
