Domaine Dugat-Py
The Dugat family have been winegrowers in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation since the beginning of the 17th century. Bernard Dugat is the 12th generation to exploit the unique knowledge of wine-making and working in the vines, which has been acquired over four centuries. The domaine's vineyards cover 7.26 hectares and are largely tended by hand. The majority of the vines are old, producing naturally low yields. There is very little intervention during the vinification process and the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wines display a concentrated, lush, old-vine flavor that reflects the quality of such a high class estate.
Robert Parker list Domaine Dugat-Py as an outstanding five stars winery, one of Burgundy’s best red wine producers.
