Domaine Vincent Girardin
Domaine Vincent Girardin began in 1982 with only 2 hectares of vines. As of today, the Domaine represents 20 hectares which comprised of 42 parcels from 8 villages in the Côte de Beaune. It has the most modern winemaking equipment. During the winemaking period, they try to be as careful as they can with the grapes in order to have the best possible terroir extraction. They follow the lunar calendar for the bottling. The white wines of it find their essence in their finesse, an extreme aromatic purity, at a focal point between acidity and richness. The red wines are fruity and elegant, with supple tannins.
Vincent Girardin has a huge respect for the environment and nature, and been working the vines bio-dynamically since 2009 without the use of herbicides or insecticides. He rigorously controls the yields by pruning, adding only natural, slow release fertilizer, by severe removal of excess buds, and green-harvesting. The wines reflect this meticulous level of care and attention; the whites have an extreme aromatic purity and finesse, while the reds are fruity and elegant, with supple tannins.
