With extraordinary vineyards, including Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Chambertin Clos de Beze, and the expertise and work ethic to match, it’s no shock that Domaine Groffier Père & Fils have made some of the best wines to come out of Burgundy within the past two decades. As a father and son team, the Groffiers craft wines with lovely Burgundian aromatics, great color, depth of flavor and tannic backbone. These powerful wines show real breeding and class and they set the benchmark for their respective communes. Some Groffier wines show well young, and many will develop further after a few years in the cellar, having the structure and acidity to last for years.
