Maison Kerlann

After many years working in the wine industry in Bordeaux, London, Montreal and Vancouver, Herve Kerlann returned to his greatest love, the wines of Burgundy in 1991 when he acquired the beautiful Chateau de Laborde estate from the Hospice de Beaune. The Chateau was built in the 11th century and is one of the most beautiful houses in all of Burgundy. In 1993 Herve founded his own wine company and he released the first vintage under his own brand, Maison Kerlann in 1999. His passion for Burgundy wines dominates his every day and he loves to share this passion with others. Herve only bottles wine that he considers to be the best expression of, and shows the greatest respect for, the Burgundian terroir, and often goes to extraordinary lengths to achieve this. He says “I wish to bring authentic wines from the vineyard to the end user. I like to transfer my passion of the great wines of Bourgogne, and to initiate those who wish to understand the complexity of Bourgogne wines.” With a focus on “affordable luxury”.
