The
Wishing Tree
Australian Premium Wine Collection was set up
in 1996. As an owner and winemaker, John Larchet
is a very busy man. In 1996 he set about making
his dream into reality with the decision to create
his own labels from wines of distinctive character.
His labels ¡°The Wishing Tree¡± and ¡°Tir Na N¡¯og¡±
are all made with love and care. They represent
some of the best value for money wines around
and John Larchet¡¯s name has become synonymous
with quality and a distinctive style.
In John¡¯s own words: ¡°I love wines that are
intensely favored, highly aromatic and expressive.
But above all else, I love wines that are born
with natural balance and harmony. In other words,
¡°no arms or legs¡± sticking out; no excessive
acidity, no excessive tannins, no excessive alcohol
and no excessive oak. There is no doubt that wines
that exhibit natural balance and harmony will
always provide greater enjoyment and drinking
pleasure.¡±

Tir
na N¡¯og ¡°Old Vines¡± Grenache 2006
Ruby-red color. Luscious red and
dark berry aromas are complemented by smoky
minerals and fresh flowers. Brighter red berries
on the palate, which displays impressive sweetness
and clarity and no obvious tannins. A smooth,
highly seductive wine that is already delicious.
